slicky's first

as I've mentioned in my blurb on top, I had several mentors. When chatting on line, I use slick. Well bill maryott loves to call me slicky. So that's my knickname! of course, having initials: s.l.k. Just seemed to be a natural knickname for me. So I just had to let all my daylily friends that I'm still around, but using my 'handle'! natually slicky's first just had to be spectacular!!! Darn those high standards any way! Big, bold, beautiful, that's say it all for this double. Doubly delicious dandy x denali. Yup, I wanted size!!!! I love that wire gold edge and those lighter midribs, they really set the stage for this bloom!! Not the fastest increaser in the world, but what a joy to grow! It doubles 95%, the first couple blooms like to single, but I can wait for those full doubles!! I love the rose/coral polychrome of this double! I was pleasantly surprised to get 3 way branching and 20 buds. I was ok with the hieght of 26" (hey, denali is short in my zone!!), but I'll work on that next summer!
