Greetings to all!!!
It's that time again, time for those of us in the north to start dreaming of spring!!! After many interruptions, illnesses and such, I've finally gotten around to updating my pricelist!!! Yeah!!!!!! I know, I know, it's about time!!! Again this year, shipping will be $8.00 for the first two plants, after that add .50 per plant. Should seem simple enough??? Well it isn't. Shipping is the hardest for me to figure out. I go extra miles to be fair and not price gouge! Sigh!! again, this year, I'll be offering single fans, just divide the price in half. There won't be many extras, but I totally understand how hard it is to wait for that special daylily!!! You'll notice at the bottom of this price list, that I've put down the daylilies that have 4 or fewer fans. If you are wanting something from that list, email me, or they will probably increase enough to ship out by fall!!! (of course, barring any droughts like last summer!!!)
My 2003, 2004 and maybe some 2005 seedlings will be blooming this coming summer!! I was able to cull out the ones that didn't meet my expectations this august! what a hard thing to do!!! they were all beautiful, but not unique enough for introduction! sigh. Unbelievably, I have just over 800 seeds from summer 2006, and that was being gone almost 3 weeks on vacation!!! Stellar!! Bring on spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This will be our third year as an American Hemerocallis Society display garden!!!! Please come and visit, we love to have fellow gardeners come and see what's happening here. This fall we put in around 50 new trees (ok probably more, but it's scary putting it in writing!! Hehehe) ok, I'll put this in writing, we've got 5, yup 5 different red buds!!! The eastern redbud, the weeping red bud, white bud, silver cloud red bud and forest pansy!! Please visit in spring to see these beauties in bloom!!!
I've got such a plant habit and am always adding something to the gardens here and there!! Hehehehehe!!!!! At the end of May, the bearded iris will be showing off!! ( ok, I have to confess! There just may be at least 20 new bearded iris and around 15 new japanese iris that I purchased last summer) at the end of June, the liliums (asiatic and tigers) will be stealing the show from the early blooming daylilies!!! Then, watch out, in July, the daylilies are the entire show!!!! During August the oriental liliums and orientpets continue the color. Oh yes, don't forget, we have over 300 different hostas and are planning a brand new bed this spring!!
Oh, before I forget, I usually add extra fans whenever possible, in lieu of bonus plants. I, myself, would rather get extra fans of my choice!!! I just love not having to wait 3 years for my newest daylilies to clump up!!! However, when ordering a single fan, I'll probably figure out extra fans from another daylily on your order. I'm also silly enough not to have any price limits!!! Hey, I'll be digging anyway, doesn't matter if it's one daylily or many!! I was going to indicate: limited, display, and clumps, but I just haven't had the time, so, the informal rule of thumb will be: if I have tons of fans, you'll be receiving a 'mini' clump for the price of a double fan!!!
And lastly, I do except pay pal, for those that choose to use that. Just use my email address, or I can invoice you from pay pal, if you prefer. Shipping will begin around May 7th, this can change, if the Ohio spring arrives early and warm this year. If I've forgotten anything, just email me. I'm super easy to work with. I don't expect any orders, I'm just sending you reading material!!! hehehehehehehehe!!! Enjoy!!!!!!!!!
Sincerely,
Sara Knackstedt
Ok, one last note (I hope!!). You'll note that on some of my daylilies I have typed in CLUMP". Yup, I'm selling at least 5 fans in my clumps, depending on the fan sizes. I would greatly appreciate, if you are ordering any of the clump daylilies, if you would add $1.00 for the shipping. Hey, clumps can be heavy, depending on fan sizes!!!
